  A: .NETZ was created in 2003, in the free time, when the author was part of the Software Technology Group, in the Technical University of Darmstadt.
  
  
• Q: What does the name '.NETZ' mean?
  
  A: .NETZ means whatever you like, but it could also be '.NET Zipped', or simply '.NET' translated in German. It is read like 'dot netz' in German.
